Atezaz Ahmad ist Postdoktorand an der Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main, Deutschland. Er promovierte mit einer Dissertation mit dem Titel „Uncharted Territories: Learning Analytics Indicators from a Learning Design Perspective“, in der er das Learning Analytics and Design Alignment (LADA)-Framework entwickelte, um Learning Design (LD) und Learning Analytics (LA) systematisch aufeinander abzustimmen. Während seiner Promotion arbeitete er außerdem an der Entwicklung und Evaluierung von OpenLAIR, einem Tool, das Kursdesigner:innen, Lehrkräfte, Studierende und Bildungsforschende dabei unterstützt, geeignete Lernaktivitäten, LA-Indikatoren und Metriken für Kursgestaltung oder LA-Dashboards auszuwählen. Darüber hinaus führte er Forschungen zu Methoden der Verarbeitung natürlicher Sprache (Natural Language Processing, NLP) durch, um die Extraktion von LA-Indikatoren und Metriken aus der Literatur zu automatisieren und sicherzustellen, dass OpenLAIR stets auf dem neuesten Stand bleibt.
